Our Home Free Guarantee

As an added benefit to RideShare Delaware participants, we are pleased to offer our Home Free Guarantee. If an emergency arises on a day that you rideshare to work, preventing you from taking your normal ride home, the Home Free Guarantee will ensure that you get home for free via taxi, rental car or shuttle.

How the Home Free Guarantee Works

When you register your rideshare arrangement with us, you will receive a Home Free Guarantee information packet, which will include one trip voucher, a list of participating service providers, and program guidelines. If you find yourself in need of an emergency ride home, simply call the service provider nearest your worksite, provide the driver with your completed voucher, and you're Home Free!

Home Free Guarantee may be used in cases of:

• Personal or family emergency;
• Personal or family illness;
• Unscheduled overtime, with supervisor's verification;
• Unexpected early departure of rideshare partner

Home Free Guarantee may not be used for:

• Personal/pre-scheduled appointments, such as doctor visits;
• Weather inconveniences or unexpected acts of nature;
• Pre-arranged overtime;
• Business-related travel;
• Trips to the hospital in place of ambulance service;
• Any rides to work.

Home Free Guarantee for transit commuters may be used when one of the following conditions also exists:

• Normal transit service is not available, such as mid-day service to certain locations;
• Next transit service is not scheduled for another hour for direct route home;
• Commuter needs to make multiple stops to attend to emergency.
