Membership

Membership in the Transportation Management Association of Delaware (TMA Delaware) is open to all companies or agencies, public or private, located in the state of Delaware. Our members include a variety of private sector businesses, management companies, developers and transportation professionals, as well as public agencies and local government entities. Our members consists of employers who recognize the need to take a proactive role in shaping the solutions that will affect the transportation choices of their employees and, ultimately, of all individuals who work and live in Delaware.

Membership is established by the payment of dues, and is renewable annually. Membership dues are based on total number of employees at worksite(s):

  • Total # employees x $1.50/employee = Annual Dues ($250.00 minimum contribution); or $1.00/per employee for non-profit organizations.
  • Membership dues will be pro-rated by quarter for registration after July 1st of the fiscal year.

TMA Delaware membership can yield many important benefits including a reduction in taxes for employers who participate in voluntary traffic mitigation programs, the reduction of traffic congestion during peak commuting hours, expansion of your business's labor market, increased employee productivity, and an overall improvement in the air quality in Delaware. As a TMA member, we:

  • Voice your concerns on various transportation issues and transit service improvements
  • Keep you updated with federal legislation information including tax incentive benefits available to both employers and employees
  • Provide information regarding commuter transportation benefits, initiatives, solutions, etc.
  • Assist your organization with worksite expansion when nearby intersections will perform below LOS (level of service) by utilizing the TMA process (Traffic Mitigation Agreements) which allows companies to receive waivers
  • Represent our members on various committees through WILMAPCO, Delaware Department of Transportation and DART First State, etc.
